Sorry that it took me so long to reply, but I got a headache too from trying to refer to my notes. This is what I think is true from reading other information on the internet...I have NOT done any personal research.
Robert Futhey came to the USA with his sisters, Anne, Mary and Jane. Anne married Samuel Steele, Mary married Ninian Steele and Jane married Henry Chambers. So, I do believe that Anne Futhey and Jane Futhey are sisters.
I believe that your relative, Elizabeth Chambers, daughter of Jane Futhey and Henry Chambers, married the Ninian Steele that was the son of Anne Futhey and Samuel Steele.
I think that Robert Steele, born 1727 and son of Mary Futhey and Ninian Steele, married Jane Chambers, daughter of Jane Futhey and Henry Chambers.
I do think that Jane and Elizabeth Chambers were sisters and daughters of Jane Futhey and Henry Chambers. I do not think that this Robert and this Ninian Steele (that they married) were brothers, but I do believe that this Robert and Ninian Steele were first cousins.
I would like to compare notes with you more about the Steele and the Chambers family. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks. I have to go take some aspirin. Kathleen Sadler
