Futhey

Hi,
I am trying to trace the some details for a part of my family called Futhey.
The problem I have is that somewhere in the chain there is a family feud due to a protestant marrying a catholic. My grandmother's grandmother is involved in this and I believe she was a Futhey. I understand she started off in Ireland or possibly Jersey, but settled in Liverpool. Her name was Sarah and she married a Mahoney, and she would have been born in the mid 1850's.
Can anyone help?
Many thanks
Alison
