Frederick F. LEWIS, md. Julia A. Thomas Apr 9, 1832 in Bibb Co. GA. I am researching this Fredrick as the possible 1st or 2nd son of Jonathan and Nancy Lewis of Crawford County, GA. I just need to prove it, which is the difficult part. I cannot find any further information on Fredrick F. Lewis indicating he may have left the county. There is a Confederate enrollment where an F.F. Lewis is listed in Bibb County, GA in 1864 at age 62. This is most probably Fielding F. Lewis from another Lewis family. Fredrick may appear as one of the 4 males 0-10 in Jonathan Lewis’s household in the Jones County 1820 Census record and may also appear as one of the males in the 1830 Crawford County Census record but does not appear in the 1840 Crawford County or Bibb County, GA census index. He may have left the area or moved to an adjacent County to raise his family. I will be grateful if anybody researching this Lewis family has information they could share about Fredrick that would prove his lineage. He is the right age, the marriage record would be in the correct time frame and the area, Bibb Co., is the correct geographic area for this Fredrick to be Jonathan and Nancy Lewis's oldest son, and was born in GA. Thank you for your help.
