Creed Bankston of Butts County

There shows up in Butts County a Creed Bankston, sometimes with the initial "T" and "F" in some instances. Most of the time with no initial.

He is listed in the Butts 1850 and 60 census, not found in the 1870 census but is in Fulton County Georgia in 1880.

His age jumps around from being born in 1810-1815 but each census list the children names so it must be the same person.

His wife is Lydia/Lidia (possibly Hughs).

Creed was in the CSA, Company D, 6 Inf.

In researching Abner Bankston of Butts County, the dates of Creed Bankston fit into the time frame of being a son of Abner. Abner is believed to have been born in North Carolina and Creed states his mother and father as being born in NC.

Information is scarce on this Creed. Anyone care to add to or share information. I have other items on Creed.

Thanks, Don Bankston
