I have found a old cemetery that is very overgrown with about 10- 15 graves. It is located on Hwy 16 East going from Jackson, GA toward Monticello, GA. It is very near the road but because of the weeds being so high, you would not know that it is there. A few of the names that I remember were George, also woman with her maiden name of Lovejoy who married into the Barber family. I also think one of the other names was Trigg's(?)
I happened by it several weeks ago and it was starting to get dark, so I rode back out there today and made some pictures, will have developed in a few days. This looks to be a family cemetery. No houses around it but there are a few down the road from it. Lots of land around it so there could have possibly been a old house back in the woods. Did not do much exploring as I was scared I might come across a snake, or other varment!
Will post the names etc once I get the pictures back.
Just wanted to post this for anyone who might be related/interested.
