Thank you for the information. I was not aware that the names of Nathan and Drucilla's children are undocumented. The only prinary documents that I have are the will and inventory of Nathan Byars who died in Butts County and the will of Mary Byars who leaves everything to her sister Artemisia Harris. I've also seen the deed records between William and Nathan Byars and Nathan Byars and Thomas Thomas. Lisa Graham has posted wills of Temperance Byars and George K. Byars on Butts County website. I don't know if or how they are related to Nathan. Nathan Byars is on the 1850 Butts County census, and there is a William Byars, age 51, who may be the William who was living next door to Nathan Byars and Thomas Harris on the 1840 Butts County census. I see two Nathan Byars in Alabama on the 1850 census. You mentioned the Nathan in Lawrence County. There is also a Nathan Byars in Jefferson County. They are close in age and both born in NC. It sounds like you have spent a lot of time looking for info. Are there any Byars wills or returns that state family relationships? Do the Spartanburg County court records have any information? I have obituary of Nancy Byars Thomas which states she was born August 4, 1802. She joined the Baptist Church at Providence, SC and was baptized in 1820. No family information. I see many family trees on ancestry.com that list Nathan and Drucilla's children. It is too bad that there is no documentation. Notify Administrator about this message?
