I don't have the will of the Nathan Byars who died in Butts Co. GA. I have been searching for 30 years to document the Nathan Byars listed on the Lawrence Co. AL to his father. If the will you have lists a son Nathan, please send me a copy or tell me the Book and Page #s so I can order a copy.
I thought for years that the Nathan Byars that married Milly Turner was the son of Old Nathan Byars and Drucilla Harrelson. (I call him old Nathan because he is the first Nathan that shows up on a census.)

I published the Byars - Byers Family Enquirer, a quarterly journal for the Byars name no matter how it is spelled. I have just put all 22 issues on a CD and plan to sell it to interested people. Marjorie Tucker and the older Byars researchers sent information to be published.

During the years that I published the quarterly we worked together as a team and it was most helpful to everyone involved. By doing that we saved time and money. I had discounted the Nathan Byars that went to Butts Co. GA because so many of old Nathan's children went to TN. I may be mistaken, but we always thought the Jefferson Co. AL Nathan was the son of John Byars that married Mary Ann "Passie" Logan.

I'll check this out and let you know If my memory is right. I am so very interested to see that will you speak of. Evidently Marjorie Tucker did not know about that Will in 2000 when she wrote a 49 page paper, because she rejected a couple of Byars men as being the son of the Butts Co. Nathan. By that time she believed he was Nathan Jr. She did name daughter Mary, and I think two more.

I was out of research for about 12 years due to illness and some deaths in my family. Thank you so much.
