in the 1850 census of Cobb Co., GA, Marietta Dist., Page 237:
Mary Watson, 45, GA
Leah, 19, GA
Sarah, 22, GA
Elijah, 21, GA
I believe this Mary to be the same as the Nancy Clark listed in the 1880 census of Campbell Co., GA living in the household of John D. and Leah W. Watson Self. Nancy Clark was lsited as mother-in-law, age 75, born in GA. I believe the Leah listed in the 1850 census in the household of Mary Watson to be Leah W. Watson who married John D. Self as his second wife in 1856. I cannot find a marriage for John and Leah, but the info comes from her Bible. She does not list her parents' names. I have not found Mary/Nancy in the 1860 census, nor Elijah and sister Sarah. What happened to them and where are they after 1850? Can anyone help me or is anyone researching this Watson family. I do not know who Mary was married to. All I have is Leah and the children she had with John D. Self. Leah died in Al, either Etowah or Marshall Co., AL between 1900 and 1910. I would appreciate any help.
i have been to the Birmingham Library and looked for info in Cobb Co., but have found nothing to help.
