However, the 1880 census shows a J.H. Marlow and wife, S.M. Marlow with one child, M.L. I believe this is John H. and Sarah M. Marler, because I know their first child was Mattie Leola, born 1878. They had 4 more children in Georgia before moving to Texas. I was trying to figure out when the name changed, or if it was just a typographical or phonetic error. I just thought maybe the birth certificate(s) would be a clue. I do appreciate your response. - Rena Notify Administrator about this message?
