I am looking for leads or information on the ancestors of THOMAS BEARDEN of Gilmer Co (?), Georgia. He was born ca. 1808 and married HANNAH CUMMINS (b. ca. 1818) of Georgia. Thomas apparently relocated to Murray County, GA at some point.
Thomas and Hannah had six children (as best I know) named:
ALEXANDER BEARDEN (b.ca.1849, GA) and m. Kathrine Malinda (or Malinda Kathryn) Edwards (my line)
Adeline (b. ca. 1853)
Milinda (b. ca. 1855)
Tulilta (Lily) (b. ca. 1858)
Alpha M. (b.ca. 1862)
John (b. ca. 1863)
I have found references to a RICHARD BEARDEN in the same period as Thomas, who could be a brother, or even perhaps the father (depending on how the actual dates work out). Richard was b. ca. 1800 and was in GA in 1838.
