Looking for any information concerning the relationship between James H. Taylor, Simeon Taylor, and Drury King. Drury married Elizabeth Taylor (married name?) on 7/2/1823 in Greene Co. After Drury's death in 1833(Elizabeth died about 1829 and Drury then married Martha Taylor 4/11/1830), Simeon petitioned the court for guardianship of Mary Adelaide King (my g-g grandmother, born 1829) and her brother Thomas Jefferson King. In the petition, Simeon referred to them as his half sister and half brother. In addition, two other of Drury King's children, Ezekiel and Josiah King, chose James H. Taylor as their guardian. From this, it appears that Elizabeth Taylor King was Simeon's mother. My questions are: is James H. Taylor Simeon's brother? And if so, who was their father and Elizabeth's first spouse? Any help appreciated.
