Good Morning,
In response to your question. John Montgomery, a son of Robert Montgomery, first wife was Henrietta Wilson. Henrietta died giving birth to Comfort Montgomery. Johns, second wife, was Henrietta's cousin Martitia Knowles. The child, Comfort Montgomery, was raised by her maternal grandmother, Comfort Marvel Knowles. The child, Comfort Montgomery married William D. Garten. One of Comfort Montgomerys and William D. Garten sons was my grandfather.
I have family letters,Comfort's family bible and marriage certificate to document that John Montgomery was Comfort Montgomery father.
I have Patience Montgomery pension request for Robert Montgomery
My problem is finding documentation for Robert's father.
