Seeking info on William Allen who married Nancy Coleman on 10 Feb 1819 in Putnam county, Georgia:
Nancy was the widow of George Coleman of South Carolina. Her maiden name was Nancy Burford later changed to (Bufford). She was born 18 December 1782 in North Carolina and is buried at the Bethel Baptist Church cemetery near Temple, Carroll county, Georgia. Her grave marker reads:
"NANCY BUFFORD, Mother of H.A. COLMAN, BORN Dec. 18, 1782, DIED May 20, 1866."
Near her in the same cemetery is buried my GGG grandfather, Henry Allen Coleman who was born 28 Jan 1814 in Putnam co., GA. Henry Allen Coleman married Sarah Ann Barnes d/o James P. Barnes and Sarah McKenzie of DeKalb co., GA. about the year 1832. His and the family of James P. Barnes then moved to Cobb county, GA. where they lived for many years and then about 1856 H.A. Coleman and his family moved to Carroll co., GA. where H.A. Coleman and his wife Sarah remained till their deaths.
During the research of my Coleman family, I found the following WILL of WILLIAM ALLEN on file in the Georgia State Archives and have now a photo copy of it. The following is a transcript of it:
(Will of WILLIAM ALLEN of Putnam county, Georgia, dated 30 Jun 1825):
GEORGIA, PUTNAM COUNTY(92):
In the name of God Amen. I William Allen of the
county and state aforesaid being weak in body but sound in mind memory and calling to mind what is appointed for man once to die do make this my last will & testament & hereby disavow nulling all former wills. First it is my desire
after my death that my body be committed to its mother dust and consign my soul into the hands of God who gave it. Item first. I give and bequeath unto Sally Allen Coleman our good tea and furniture. Item 2nd. I give unto my beloved wife all the balance of my estate both personal and real during her natural life or widowhood in case she should marry it then my desire that my estate should then
be divided between my wife and her son, Henry Allen Coleman, and in case she should not marry it is my desire after her decease that Henry Allen Coleman have the whole of it both real and personal. I do hereby constitute and
appoint my beloved wife Nancy Allen Executrix and William E. Adams Executor of this my last will and testament whereof I have herewith set my hand and fixed my Seal this 30th day of June 1825.

Note 1: I have not found a record of this WILL ever being proven.
Note 2: I do not yet know who Sally Allen Coleman was.
I have also been seeking information about this William Allen and to which ALLEN family he belongs but with little success.
He appears in the 1813 Putnam county Tax List in Capt. McMurray's district with the annotation of "Greene" and "Putnam" county.
He also appears in the 1820 US Census for Putnam co., GA. in Capt. John H. Butt's district. His household with himself included lists:
1 male under 10 years old.
1 male 45 years old or older.
1 female 26 to 45 yras old.
There are two other William Allen's listed in the 1820 Putnam co., GA. census:
In Capt. Jesse Bledsoe's District:
William Allen
2 males under 10 yrs old.
1 male 26 to 45 yrs old.
1 female 16 to 26 yrs old.
(Note: listed immediately under this William Allen is Jordin Allen)
In Capt. James W. Cooper's District:
William F. Allen
1 male under 10 yrs old.
1 male 16 to 26 yrs old.
1 female 16 to 26 yrs old.
Any information that can shed some light on my Wiliam Allen and his family, would be greatly appreciated.
Also seeking info on the following:
1. The family of James P. Barnes and Sarah McKenzie of DeKalb co., GA. He married Sarah McKenzie on 31 July 1806 in Lincoln co., GA. and appears in the 1830 census in DeKalb co., GA.
2. The family of Phillip H. Burford of DeKalb co., GA. believed to be the brother of Nancy Burford Coleman.
