For any researchers on the above & related surnames, recent DNA studies, posted at the Wright DNA Project, have shown that Jarrett Wright from Lunenburg Co. VA (who married Tabitha Howell) is connected to the same Wright family as my Reuben Wright (marr Anna Gilbert in 1798, Sussex Co. VA)who settled in Henry Co. IN & was a Methodist-Episcopal minister. Some of Reuben's desc went on to Jasper/Edgar/Clark Co. IL. Other Wrights from this line settled in E. IL around Madison & Montgomery Co. IL. ANY info on these families will be appreciated. The Wright family of Greene Co. married into the Moore, Rowland, Mallory,Conner & Hays families, among others. The Randal/Randle surname figures prominently in this group as well. A James Randle was "surety" in the marriage of Jarrett & Tabitha (Howell) Wright. The early origin of this group of Wrights is still a mystery but they APPEAR related to the Wrights of Brunswick Co. VA & Greene Co. OH. Many of these Wrights were very active in the M-E ministry. Thanks.
