My ggf, James C. Chambers lived in Hancock Co. in 1860 and joined the 55th in 1862. I have obtained the GA and NASA records but a Sons of the Confederate told me that his records indicated that James C. was raised in the 1840's in Greene County. Would appreciate any information on the 55th or James C. Chambers or any methodist churches in the area in the 1850's to 1870's. Thanks, Randy - Rchamb5801@aol.com
