My great great grandparents James J. CARTER and Cynthia Matilda Davis are buried Tallapoosa Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Is there anyone looking for this family. I am trying to find the parents of Matilda Davis CARTER.
James and Matilda were married 28 Nov 1846 in Tallapoosa County, AL. James was born October 28, 1824 GA and died 6 Sept 1906, Matilda was born 8 Aug 1825 and deid 29 Nov 1903.
Their children are:
**James W. CARTER, born 1848, died 1927 married Laura Victoria EADES.
Rebecca Carter born 1850
Benjamin Carter born 1853
Stephen Alexander Carter born 1857
Charles A. born 1858
Martha Sarah born ?1869
In 1880 Census this CARTER family was living in Heard Co., GA.
