No I don't have a gedcom posted in workd connect. John Henry Gay was wounded during the Civil War but died in 1866 after the war ended. He was also a presioner captured at champion hill may 16, 1883 and paroled at Fort Delaware, Del July 3, 1863. Wounded at Rocky Face, Ga. in 1864. On the papers I have they also have a James Gay mixed up with him and also a john Grey or Gray.Saying he was wounded near Murfreesboro.Tenn. Dec of 1862 Now this is the john Grey so how could he be wounded in 1862 and go on to be captured after surgery on his head??? I don't think so. Their records aren't always acurate.
