Seeking further information about the family of George Washington Waddy THOMPSON, b. 1844, GMD 888, Henry County, Georgia; George Washington Waddy THOMPSON was one of the sons of Snowden THOMPSON, and his wife, Olley S. Mitchell THOMPSON. George Washington Waddy THOMPSON's father, Snowden THOMPSON, a Mason, professed Methodist [but buried in Darien Primitive Baptist Church, Luverne, Crenshaw County, AL] is believed to be ONE of the brothers of Rev. Charles [Chester, Chesley] THOMPSON, b. 1804, GA, a Methodist Minister; George Washington Waddy THOMPSON b. 1844, married Sarah J. [Unknown, but believed to be COOPER, b. 1847, daughter of Eli COOPER and his wife, Elvira/Elvida UNKNOWN]; they married circa 1865, could be Dekalb County, or Jackson County, Alabama; they had nine children born to their marriage, of which three were living by 1900; they lived in the Jackson County, Alabama area, for most of their married lives, he was a farmer; George Washington Waddy THOMPSON died, we believe, between 1890-1900; by June 13, 1900, his wife, Sarah J. THOMPSON, was a widow with three living children in the home: Mary C. THOMPSON, b. 1871, Jackson County, Alabama; John L. THOMPSON, b. 1881, Jackson County, Alabama; William Ora THOMPSON, b.
