Would someone be able to help me with a look up please? George and Rachel Ray or Wray went to Jackson co Ga in 1798. George bought land in 1798 from William Head and Henrietta Ray Head in Jackson co Ga. Someone told me they had found the deed record showing George bought land from William Head in 1798 but I have not seen the actual deed. I am trying to see if his wife Rachel was on the deed so I can prove that his wife's name was Rachel. Any other kind of record that would make a reference to a George Ray or Wray from 1798 to 1801 when Clarke co Ga was formed from Jackson co Ga and George's land was then in Clarke co Ga would be appreciated.
