Someone in the Spencer family said his death was listed as 1892 in a Bible, buried in Bethlehem cemetary in Calhoun county MS. I visited it and there is no headstone for him.
His son, WIlliam Jefferson and 2nd wife Rosa Lee is there, and his son Frank, but no Marion.
Death certificates are not available until about 1912. That was all he knew. I never found Susan or Marion with the kids.
I was told that the Coopers and Hydes were friends, so I thought about trying to trace the Coopers in order to find the Hydes!
