This is all any "death record" shows. What you seek is an acutal county document.
Writing to the county with the above info should help you obtain a copy of his death certificate and thereby ascertain whether he is yours or not.

You could try raogk.org and see if they have a volunteer shown for that county that could do this lookup for you.
