James Johnson born abt 1777 or before in Oglethorpe County, Georgia or Halifax, Virginia. He married Susanna Bates, I believe they had several children but do not have census record. In 1860 Susanna was living in Bedford Co. Tennessee per the census record with only one child at home. Her initials were E. R. Johnson. Their son David was in Kentucky in 1860. I have other names that belong to the family but can not identify them as children of the couple as I do not have birth dates for them.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
