Thanks for responding. The only information I have is that WILLIAM WASHINGTON BAUGHCUM was born in Greene County or Cherokee, Ga. about 1850. He was married to BARBARA ANN CLIFTON in Dec 1871. They had 4 children:
Lela Eugene (1872),
Thomas Edward (17 June 1876)
Lovejoy Durham (20 Sep 1879)
Mary Elizabeth (19 May 1883).
I assume BARBARA AN CLIFTON passed away because WILLIAM WASHINGTON BAUGHCUM remarried in 1886 to CATHERINE 'CASSIE' HOLDER from Putnam county, GA. They had 9 children:
William Andy (23 aug 1890)
Lura Ada (4 May 1892)
Nancy Bessie (23 Mar 1894)
John Morgan (13 Dec 1895)
Mahallie 'Hallie' (27 Apr 1898)
Sarah H. (born abt. 1899)
Elisha Jackson (Jan 1900)
Naomi Ruth (3 Jul 1900)
Ida Josephine (1902) (died in 1918 at age 16)
WILLIAM WASHINGTON BAUGHCUM is supposed to be buried in McRae, Ga. I have had no luck in finding where he is buried or where he actually died.
