Regretfully, no one has responded concerning a color copy of the Gaar Crest. The book: "Genealogy of the Descendants of John Gar, or more particulary of his son, Andreas Gar, Who emigrated from Bavaria to America in 1732" has a picture of the crest but it is not in color. This book was written by John Wesley Gaar, MD, and his son John Calhoun Gaar. It was commenced in 1844 and completed in 1894. You should be able to obtain a copy of this book through the interlibrary loan process. The immigrant Andreas Gaar is my 7G, his dau Rosina is my 6G. Apparently, Andreas is our common ancestor. Good luck in your research!
