I am from Spain, and the name Gabaldon is not basque, is Castilian. Usually it is found in the east of Spain, in the mediterranean coast.
There is a village called Gabaldon in Cuenca.
The origin of the name is from the french region Gevaudan,in ancient times written Gavaudan or Gabaldan, etimo- Gabalitanum in reference to the ancient celtic tribe Gabali
