I can tell you a little bit about your Gabbard/Isaacs ancestors.
John Beverly Isaacs is listed on the 1880 census on page 497A, T9-0421, E.D. 49, Horse Lick, Jackson County, Kentucky with his mother and sister.
Sarah Isaacs Head Single Female White Age 22 b. KY
Both parents born in Kentucky.
John B. Isaacs Son Single Male White Age 2 b. KY
Florence Isaacs Dau. Single Female White Age 4 months. b. KY
I do not know who his father was...or Sarah's parents.
It was quite common for members of the Isaacs family to marry into the Gabbard family.
Catherine Jane Gabbard's parents are Palestine Gabbard and Rachel McCollum. I will include a desc. outline for Catherine.
