Thank you! You have solved the mystery of how Charlie died. According to my mom, grandpa Al never spoke about his dad. She had heard that it was told he was was shot but that is all she knew about it.
Carol (Robinson) Perez forwarded to me the e-mail you sent her. Carol and her husband Evelio traveled to Ohio last year and we all got to meet them. They were en-route to Michigan to visit her mother and her brother. They left today from Virginia making the same trip again this year. We are expecting them late tomorrow evening (Sunday).
I have lots of info regarding the Robinson/Robertson family if you are interested. Also, I e-mail with someone in Kentucky who has some interesting reading regarding the Gabbard side of the family.
