I believe John Gabbert of Greenbrier County, VA married Rebecca (Yaeger/Yager)Hunter of Augusta County, VA. I do not have a date on the marriage. I think that they may have had a daughter, Sarah, who married a Hiram Perkins on August 5, 1830 in Greenbrier County, VA. They then moved to Montgomery County, MO as he is listed on the 1840 Census. My great grandfather, Andrew Hunter Perkins, was born around 1841 in Montgomery County, MO. Hiram Perkins is not listed on the 1850 Census only his wife and children. If anyone has any information on these people, whether or not it follows my theory, please let me know. If I am wrong, then I can quit persuing this and follow another avenue to try and find these elusive people.
