I have traced back to George Gabbitas born 1801 but cannot trace his parents as there were more than one George Gabbitas born at that time. He would probably have been born in the East Retford area, eg East Drayton, Milton, Markham etc. I know about a George Gabbitas born in 1800 in Laxton which is a possibility and also George Gabbitas born 1801 at Walesby who I have ruled out. His wife was Anne White and they had several children including Goerge born c1829/1831. Would be grateful for any definite information. Notify Administrator about this message?
