My links with the Gabbitass family involve John b1796 and his wife Elizabeth (nee Foster) married 1818. They had 4 children, the first Mary Ann b1820 was born in Womersley. The other 3 I have not followed their lines - Peter b1822, Louisa b1827 and Frederick b1831 . All of the family were in Worksop in and around the 1850' 60's when they ran successful chair making businesses. The wife Elizabeth married a second time to a Henry Thorpe.
