Hi Carolyn,
I have some information on three of the Gabels you would like to know more about. I am doing a book on the Gabel Family from Fremont, Ohio. I hope to have it ready before the end of this year. Did you know that Andrew Gabel had a son born near Millersville, Ohio before he went out west for good. His name was Harold. He was less than a month old when he died. Andrew was married to Katherine Giebel. Correct? Do you know the birthdate of John Michael Gabel? I know he was born in 1832 in Buffalo, New York but I do not have the month and day. I went to Buffalo last fall and got a copy of the marriage certificate of Joseph and Barbara Gohn Gabel. Joseph and his brother Michael were married in St. Louis Catholic Church in Buffalo on the same day. Please e-mail for futher info at raddemielke@worldnet.att.net. By the way Joseph was born in Drusenheim, France in 1809.
