Hi Kristen,
I would be glad to answer any questions you might have about the Gabel Family. Did you know that Gabel's Corners was used as a location site name for one of the episodes of the X-Files ? Please send any questions to my e-mail address. I have been working on a Gabel Family Tree since 1992. I am also planning to publish a book on this family but I can't give you a date at this time when I will get this book done. I will mention that I do have records going back to Drusenheim, France as far back as 1740. On the Darr side I have records going back to 1635. Howard's Great-Grandmother was a Darr and her mother was a Hopfinger and it is her line that I have traced back to 1635. I have that Howard died in Toledo, Ohio where I was born. Is this correct? Does your father live in Toledo? I now live in Canton, Mi. By the way your dad and I would be third cousins.

Tim
