Hi,
My name is Ted Gabel, real name is George C. Gabel. My great grandfather also came over from "Germany" with his family in approx. 1850 to 1853 and also settled in the Pittsville, Wisconsin area some time after that. Don't know the exact time of arrival in Wisconsin. My grand father moved to Pennsylvania in the early 1900's. There is always the possibility that names could have changed on arrival. I have a copy of their ship's log as they arrived from Bremmenhaven,Germany in approximately 1850-1853. It's in the book series of "Germans to America at the Geneology Library here in Houston, Texas. Please let me know what information that you have.
Thanks
Ted Gabel
