Am trying to trace my mother's side of the family (Gabel). We have from a family Bible the following:
John Jacob Gabel B Cincinnati OH June 5 1849
Married January 6 1871 to
Emma Margaret Dyerson (Tyerson? - Can't read)
who was born in Farmington, MO Nov 25, 1850
John Jacob Gabel died Aug 17, 1913 and is buried in Newport KY at the Evergreen Cemetery.
In the Bible it lists the following children
Emma -
Henry William 1873-1929
Edward Theodore - died in first week
George Charles 1878 born in Newport KY
Ida Charlotte b 1882 in Newport KY
Alice Virginia lived 6 days 1888
Then someone else wrote Clifford Harold Gabel born Newport KY July 1, 1896
and the Taylor Gabel, Highlands, KY July 25
Also in another handwriting,
Isabelle Gabel, Bellevue KY May 19, 1911

Because of the names that are children of John Jacob and Emma Margaret, I feel somehow I am related to others who share the same common names in great numbers in the various genealogies I have looked at. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
