Hi Elizabeth,
I would be interested in copies of any pictures of any descendants of Joseph and Barbara Gohn Gabel. I also was in contact with Rosena Schneider about 5-6 years ago. To be honest I do not even know if she is still alive. I know her sister Dorothy Borer was still living at that time. I have a ton of information and pictures on the Gabel family. I have pictures of the first Jacob Gabel and all of his children. What I have been trying to do is do a picture history of the Gabel family. I also am interested in any stories about this family. I been working on this for about 9 years. If you would be interested and you live near Fremont, Ohio I could meet you at Hayes Library some time and show you what I have on the Gabel Family. I usually visit Fremont about every two months. Both my parents grew up there. When I first started doing this I went around and talked to as my people as I could who had any info on the Gabel Family. I would advise you to visit any older relatives you have to collect any pictures and stories they might have before they are not around anymore. Most people do not get started doing this until they retire and by that time most or all of their older relatives are no longer alive. Just for your information I have some Gabel records from Buffalo, New York and am in contact with someone who has information on Barbara Gohn's family. Her sister was married in Buffalo and raised her family there. Let me know if you are interested in getting together.
