Hello Tim,

I am afraid I do not as yet have any other information on Magdalena Gabel. Neither her maiden name nor her husband's name are known to me. I know only that she was the mother of Lydia Gabel (wife of William Bossenberger/Bossenberry) of Zurich Ontario. The 1851 census shows that she was living with William and Lydia.

William Bossenberger; Shoemaker; Germany; RC; 30; ME; I; 3; 171;28; 25
Lydia Bossenberger; Wife; Canada; LU; 22; F; Y; 3; 171; 28; 26
Amanda Bossenberger; daughter; Canada; LU; 6; F 3; 171; 28; 27
Edward Bossenberger; son; Canada; LU; 5; M; 3; 171; 28; 28
Harriet Bossenberger; daughter; Canada; LU; 3; F; 3; 171; 28; 29
Alexander Bossenberger; Son; Canada; LU; 1; M; 3; 171; 28; 30
Magdalina Gabel; ; USA; LU; 61; F; M; N; 3; 171; 28; 31; Resident Wilmot
Francis Bossenberger; Shoemaker; Germany; RC; 61; M; W; 2; 171; 28; 32

The Magdalena Gabel buried in EEUB Zurich is not she. I suspect that my Magdalena was buried in Waterloo county, while the one buried in Zurich is perhaps a sister of Lydia:

GABEL       Magdalena       St James Lutheran, Mannheim       Waterloo       Wilmot       WW-4572

Sincerely,
Roy Keys
