Two of my great-grandmothers were Gabel's and sisters. One of them was Elisabeth Gabel born in Schiedam Holland appr. 1858 and deceased in S. in 1909. She married in 1883 to J.F.W. Meijer and my other great-grandmother was Hendrica Gabel born approx. 1860, she married later Dekker. She died in approx. 1942. There were 2 other sisters: one of them was Dirkje Gabel born approx 1860 who married to E. Bal. In 1892 they got there only child: Johanna Cornelia Elisabeth Bal who died in 1982.
I think that "your" Dirkje was a cousin of "mine".
IF you are interested I cab tell you the story how the Gabel's came in Schiedam.
