Trying to find descendents of Pauline Helena Gabel, B=9/8/1865 and D=9/7/1889 in Munjor, KS. She is my great-grandmother. However, there is an error in her date of death. I recently discovered in small book, Grains of Wheat, a record of deaths and burials 1876 - 1982, of persons buried in St. Francis Parish, Munjor, KS, that Pauline had a son, John, born 8-6-91 and died 9/7/91. Current records (earlier family tree book from 1976) indicates she died in 1889 during childbirth of my grandmother and her twin sister on 9/7/1889. However, Grains of Wheat shows a Helen Rohr nee Gabel was buried on 10 Aug 1891. Book also shows her husband, Lawrence Rohr and her parents of Anton Gabel and Anna Maria Katzendorn and her name there is Pauline Helena Gabel rather than just Helen. In Genealogy.com search, I find her ancestors back into the 1600s but cannot find her descendents. My 1976 family tree book has all her descendents so I think they are same person. Especially when I go to page (Grains of Wheat) which shows date of death as 11/1/58 and burial as 1 Apr 1932 of her husband, Lawrence and lists his parents as Mathias Rohr and Magdalena Denning. My 1976 family tree book starts with Mathias Rohr born 1832 in Russia, died 4/29/1909 in Hays, KS married in Russia to 1st wife, Magdalena Denning born 1829 in Russia and died 7/19/1884 in Munjor, KS. Their second son, Lawrence married Pauline Gabel and had 5 children (except for error mentioned above) and then he married Barbara Seitz and had 7 more children. Both these wives are listed under Lawrence's name as his wives.
Forgive long message. This is all new to me. I do not have my own web page but hope to as I become more familiar with this. Could my Great-grandmother, Pauline Helena Gabel, be related to your Gabel?
