Hi, Well, the Pfeils **** I mentioned is a son-in-law of Jacob Goebel and Mary A. Niersbach Goebel in Racine. If you go to Census Online, and select Wisconsin, then Racine County. You will find the 1900 Census. IF you will then select, ed35p05 you will be in the right set of pages...now scroll down until you see 14A, very near the bottom of that page about line 96 is Jacob Goebel. line 98 is Peter PFEILSLEFTA [this is not the correct name!] The correct name is Pfeilstifter. Trancription error. Anyway, Peter is the son-in-law, having just married Jacob's daughter Anne. Anne is followed by her sister Gertrude as line 100. Following on: to the next census page are the balance of the GOEBEL children..mistakenly labeled as Pfeilslefta! Barbara b. 1882-3 Lizzie b. 1886 Jacob b. 1888 Mary b. 26 Oct 1891 IF you go and do a Google search on the Pfeilstifter you will get current day people. I found NONE with the Census spelling of the name. Another kind searcher told me the name was Pfeilslifter, but I had no luck with that name either! Anyway, that is an aside from the primary purpose of finding out about Mary A. Niersbach... and her parents. I did some additional searching and found a marriage liste in Osann-Monzel for Jacob Goebel and Maria Anna Niersbach in the parish of St Peter and St. Nikolaus. Looking forward to hearing from you when you get a chance. Jan Hart Notify Administrator about this message?
