Gabel Family Genealogy Forum

Fantastic! I posted this question five years ago and had forgotten all about it. I am even in the process of changing my email, so your answer found me last minute.... Life is truly amazing sometimes. "1.000 thanks" (as we say in Danish).
The one who would mostly have loved to get this info was my uncle Knud Ejler Gabel-Jorgensen (no. 907 on the family tree) who sadly died last year. Years earlier he and Werner Gabel (no. 856) had mapped our branch of the Gabel-family all the way back to 1638 in Obermeiser, Germany. What happened to the two brothers of his grandmother that moved to the US always puzzled him, and not being able to use the internet, I posted the question for him.
Anyway. Henry (Henrik Wilhelm) Gabel (no. 704) is the brother of my great grandmother Mathilde Gabel (no. 705, born 1866) or you could say that Dagmar (no. 805, the mother of Dagmar living in NY state) was the cousin of my grandfather Carl Christian Aage Gabel-Jorgensen (no. 810).
I am off course very interested in any information you have. Also I have a wealth of information from a book about "The Gabel's of Obermeiser" going back to 1638 that might be of your interest. Again thank you very very much. Niels Gabel-Jorgensen (no. 1015).
