Hi, The 1910 federal census shows Henry age 43,Christina(wife)age44, both born in Denmark, with children Arthur A. born in Illinois age 20 Lillian born in New York age 12 Dagmar born in New York age-also 12 Howard H.born in New York, age 2 1/2 The 1920 federal census shows Dagmar Gath with John Henry Gath and child Dagmar .Johns draft card 1917-1918 shows him with wife and one child (dagmar). Then 1930 federal census shows Dagmar (niece)living with the Williams family of which Lillian (the childs mother married John Williams. I never could find the mother Dagmar but called the , now 90 yearold Dagmar last night and she told me her mom had died in childbirth when she was around 3. I am still looking for the exact date and where she is buried. The child Dagmar first lived with an aunt Bessie Gabel and was treated poorly. Lillian and John came to visit and said they would take Dagmar and she lived with them from then on. Her memory was not too good, she does have a daughter named Lillian but could not remember her last name. Her daughter is divorced and going to marry a second time. She also told me that her grandmother Gabel had lost several children in childbirth. I only found dagmar thru the obituaries of an Arthur Williams, who was the child of the Williams, he noted her as his sister Dagmar Macnaughton. Dagmars husbands name was John A. Macnaughton born sept 25,1920 and died jan 27,1996.He also served in WW2 in the army. If I get any more information I will post it here. Thats about it for now. So glad I could help someone as I have had lots of help, so it feels good to pass on the favor Joanne Notify Administrator about this message?
