Just found out as well that the family is from Munster, Germany (Westphalia). I saw Schonebeken on the voyage records, which is just outside of Munster (now called Schonebeck).

Johann (1794) came here in 1854 with his wife Josephine (1809) and 3 sons Anton(1843), and Theo (1837), likely the 3 youngest, while the older 6 were already here in Fon Du Lac Cty, WI or Floyd Cty, IA. William lived next door (1828).

Now to find out who the other 5 area - fun!
