Looking for info on Friedrich "Fred" Gabel. He was born in St. Louis and lived in the Bellville, IL area. Fred's father was supposedly John Gabel from Germany and his mother Mary Ellis from England. His wife's name was Mary Scheppel (or Schettler or Schoettler or what ever other way the name could be mangled.) Regardless of what and how her last name was spelled, she was b. 1856 in Koenigsreich, Germany (wherever that is.) Her father's name may have been John.
At this point I'm stuck and am desparately seeking information.
