When I read this message, I became very interested. My relatives always refered to our name as Von Gabel or Von Gobel pre WWI. We also had an Uncle Herman Gabel. My father was Darold W. Gabel and His parents were Lillian and Martin Gabel. Martin's father was Conrad Gabel. Conrad was an immigrant from Germany. Family members were believed to have been loggers in the Minnisota area. Any info??
