The first one of my Gablers to come to America was Philipp Heinrich Gabler (Henry) who was born on Sept 12, 1817 in Worms,Darmstadt, Germany and married to Elisabeth Hartmann. He was a Furrier or Cap Maker. This line goes back to Friedrich Erasmus Gabler of Frankfurt on Main, who died in 1772 and was Staettmeister (Lord Mayor). I'm looking for descendants of this line. They came to NYC in 1851. Their children were: Wilhelmina (1843), Friedrich (1845), Philipp(1847), Sofia Margarethe(1848), Anna Katherina(1850), Maria Barbara(1851), Robert (1854),Isabella (1862) and Ida(1864). They lived in NYC for several years, but I lose them after that. Wilhelmina was my great Grandmother who married Adolph Paulsen. Anyone see any connections to their Gablers? They possibly went to Northeast PA.
