Funeral services for Charles S. Gabrion, 80 years old, who died at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 1934, at his home at 77 North Sanford street, were to be held at 2 p. in. today from the residence. Rev. Bates G. Burt was to officiate, with burial at Bellaire, Mich.
Mr. Gabrion was born February 18, 1854, in Lewis county, New York, the son of Gilbert and Sarah Gabrion. He received his education there and married Nina Smith in Indiana 51 years ago. They came to Pontiac from Bellaire 10 years ago. Mr. Gabrion served as sheriff of Antrim county for two terms
approximately 25 years ago. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Masons.
He died of a stroke after an illness of one day.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs., Nina S. Gabrion; one daughter, Mrs. Grace Allen, Pontiac; Vern Gabrion of Grand Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Caroline
Goodwin of Ithica, Michigan, and Mrs. Ida Buck of Carthage, N. Y., and five grandchildren.
