I have a direct line that is GABY and they are truly German, from near Switzerland.
I have found the name as Gaby, Gaba, Gabee,
Gabe and Gabi, but never as Gable. My line migrated from PA to MD to VA to Washington Co. Tennessee. They all come from a German by the name of Martin Gaby in Berks County PA who had 8 sons and 4 daughters.
