I knew there were some Gabys in Tennessee, but never knew how they were connected. I descend from Martin Gaby's son Jacob who married Lydia Bashore. Jacob and Lydia's children changed the spelling of the surname from "Gaby" to "Gauby". My line left Berks Co., PA in the early 1850's and headed to Darke Co., OH. They then moved to Washington, KS in the early 1880's.
My Gauby line:
..1--Martin Gaby(1742-1812)
....2--Jacob Gaby(1772-1826)
......3--Martin B Gauby(1805-1889)
........4--Jonathan M Gauby(1835-1912)
..........5--Martin D Gauby(1864-1953)
............6--Bertha May Gauby(1888-1983)

Bertha May Gauby is my great-grandmother, she is the end of my Gauby line.
How are you descended from Elder Martin Gaby of Berks Co., PA?
Russell
