The following information is what I have found in my research of the Gaby name startig with Ulrich Gaby and Descending for 4 generations. Only names I can place are listed. A lot of it has been copied from other internet sites, but I have checked carefully to make the information correct. A small amount on Martin Gaby Sr. was obtained from library sources and the LDS Family History Centers and their internet sites. As far as I can determine Isaac, son of Martin Gaby Sr. is the only Gaby to go to from PA to TN by way of MD. and VA. Other sons and daughters, I know not which ones, of Martin Gaby Sr went to Indiana.

Martin Gaby, husband of Conrad Price's oldest daughter, Susanna, was a Dunker, the name given to a baptist sect to distinguish them from Mennonites. a brief history of Pricetown PA mentions the German Baptist (Tunker) meeting house and the cemetery where its builder, Martin Gaby (Gaube) is buried. His grave stone is one of the few stones still legible. The Pricetown Meeting house also receives mention in the Brethren Encyclopedia. The meeting house is the oldest unaltered church building in the Brotherhood.on the land which he had purchased from Conrad Price.
A biography of Martin Gaube states that he was an early Brethren settler, and a leading figure in the Maiden Creek congregation, in the Oley region of Berks County, where he settled in 1766, near what came to be known as Pricetown. Martin became the minister of the congregation in 1770 and in 1780 was ordained elder. The meeting house is six miles northeast of Reading, PA. Martin's farmhouse is reportedly across the road from the meetinghouse.

30. Mary GABY was born about 1838 in Washington Co. TN. She died about 1889 in Pauls Valley OK. Mary would have been one of the first children of Isaac P. Gaby and Mary Hibarger. Mary Hibarger is the sister of Martha Hibarger who was a previous wife of Isaac.
Mary's father, Isaac P. Gaby died in 1848 in Washington Co. TN. Mary would have been about 10 yrs old at the time of his death.
A letter writtten in later years (1979) by Kenneth Eads, son of John and Lucy Tayiah Eads to Rosa Easter, another descendant of Mary's through daughter Rebecca, mentions that "Mary was a Tennesseean. She was an orphan raised by people by the name of Bowman." Kenneth states in the letter that he got this information from his father, John Rhea Eads, who was the oldest son of Francis Marion and Mary Gaby Eades.
Mary Gaby is listed in the 1850 census as "Polly Gaby" and is living in the household of Christina Bowman, age 61. There is an older Joseph Bowman, age 59, also listed in this family. Joseph could possibly be an elder of a Church A letter written by Molly Pappin to Lorraine Hilty,a descendant of Mary and Francis mentions that Mary went by the nickname Polly in her early years. Date of this letter is unknown.
Counting Polly, there are 5 Gaby children listed in the 1850 census of Washington Co. Tennessee and 2 in Ashe Co. North Carolina, all living in households with different surnames. five of these are Mary's siblings, with 2 being half brothers.
In 1860 Mary is still listed in the household of Christina Bowman. Joseph Bowman is not listed in this census.
A marriage record of Sullivan Co. TN shows Francis and Mary Marrying on 4 June, 1870.
Just a few weeks later, the Washington Co. VA census shows Francis Eades as a farmer and Mary as his wife. Listed in their household is a Susan, age 7 and a Catherine, age 3?
It is uncertain how these 2 children fit into the family, since both were born before Francis and Mary were married.
In the 1880 census, we can find the family living in Washington Co. TN. Francis Marion is listed in the census index as F.A. Eades. Mary is listed as M.F. The Index was made public some 72 years after the census was taken. On that census listing, the A after the F in F. A. Eades appears to resemble the "and" sign more than an A. All children born before that date are listed. Cora Virginia and Walter Dillard have not yet been born. Cora Virginia Eades was born in Memphis in 1881 and Walter Dillard was born in Nebraska in 1882.
Nothing more has been found on Mary Gaby Eades. she was buried supposedly in Paul's Valley Oklahoma.
