Mrs. Gach: Thank you for your interest in the Gach yDNA Surname Project. To see the current "Patriarchs" page go to www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/g/gach/ Click on "Patriarchs" in a box near the top of the page which will open a page with three family trees. The first tree is a Gach family from what in 1800 was Neumarkt in Galicia and is now Nowy Targ in Poland. The second tree is a Gach family from Pisek south of Prague. The third tree is my Gach family from Korchow in Lublin Province, Poland. More trees are due soon and I shall post them just as soon as I receive them. If you send me your husband's line from Maximilian, with the type of details shown in the three posted trees, I shall be glad to post it to the Patriarchs page whether or not your husband decides to take the yDNA test. That way there is a chance that someone will see a name they recognize in his tree and make a connection. Of course I would like your husband to join the Gach yDNA Surname Project so that we can compare test results and determine if the various Gach families spread across Europe from France to Russia have a common origin. As to how to test his yDNA, go to www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/g/gach/ scroll down to "Click here to order a DNA test now" scroll down to the order form, fill it out, and at the end of it you will see "Type of Test" scroll through the list to any of these three: Y-DNA25, Y-DNA37, or Y-DNA67 they are priced for the group rate as he will have enrolled in the Gach Surname Project, just select whichever of the three fits your budget best. Personally I ordered the Y-DNA37. Of course the more markers you test the more details you get. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks again, Terrance Chevalier Terrance Gach MacFarlane Notify Administrator about this message?
